A digital loyalty card for car washes
Washing the car is a habit that lapses the moment someone gets busy, and the competition is a jet wash two streets away that costs the same. A short card in the wallet gives a driver a reason to keep coming to you rather than whichever one they pass first.

The reward structure that works here
Five washes, the fifth free
Five is short on purpose. A driver washes fortnightly at best, so five visits is already a couple of months — and the reward has to land before the habit lapses, not after. This is the trade where a ten-stamp card fails most reliably: the driver forgets they had it, goes somewhere closer, and never comes back to find out. If five feels too generous, keep the count and make the free wash your basic programme rather than the top one.
What changes at the counter
You beat the one they drive past
Three stamps already collected is a reason to drive a bit further. Nothing on the phone means no reason at all.
Rain has a marketing use
A push to the pass after a bad week of weather reaches people at the exact moment they have noticed their car.
Works with an unattended site
A staff phone at the kiosk, or a QR by the payment terminal, is the whole install.
The honest objections
Half my customers pay at a machine and never speak to anyone.
Then put the QR code on the machine itself. The driver enrols on their own phone while the wash runs, and stamps on the next visit by showing the pass to whoever is on site. If nobody is ever on site, this is a harder fit — the honest answer is that a fully unattended wash gets less out of a scan-based card than one with an attendant.
Free washes are my entire margin.
On the top package they might be. Most sites set the reward at the basic wash rather than the premium one, which keeps the reward real for the driver and the cost predictable for you. You can change what the reward is at any time without resetting anyone's progress.
Questions
Can I run a card for fleet or business customers?
You can run a second card design on the Growth plan and up, with its own threshold and reward.
Does the driver need signal at the site?
No. The pass shows offline; only the staff device recording the stamp needs a connection.
Can I stamp for a valet as well as a wash?
Yes — staff can add more than one stamp in a scan, which is how most sites handle a bigger job.
