A digital loyalty card for restaurants and takeaways

Restaurants get one or two visits a month from a good customer, not one a day. That changes the whole design of the card: a shorter threshold, a reward big enough to bring a booking forward, and a nudge on the nights you need filled.

The reward structure that works here

Six visits, then something worth coming back for

The instinct is to copy the café and ask for ten. Do not. At one or two visits a month, ten is most of a year, and a reward a year away changes nobody's Friday. Six is reachable inside a season. Make the reward something with a real margin story — a dessert or an aperitivo costs you little and reads as generous, while a discount on the bill trains people to wait for it. For takeaway, count the order rather than the head: one order, one stamp, however many people ate.

What changes at the counter

Fill the quiet nights

Push a message to members on a Tuesday afternoon and it arrives on the lock screen before anyone has decided where to eat.

Stamps at the table, not the till

Your staff scan from a phone in their apron while handing over the card machine. Nothing has to move behind the pass.

Birthdays are worth a table

Collect the birthday at enrolment and a message goes out automatically a few days before — one of the few reasons people book a restaurant on purpose.

The honest objections

My team is too busy at service to scan anything.

It is one scan at the moment the bill is paid, which is already a pause. If it is genuinely impossible mid-service, print the QR on the bill folder and let the guest enrol themselves — they stamp by showing the pass on the next visit instead.

We are not a chain. Is this not overkill for one restaurant?

The Starter plan is one location, one card design and three staff logins, which is exactly a single restaurant. The setup that takes the longest is deciding what the reward should be, not the software.

Questions

Does it work for delivery and takeaway orders?

For orders collected in person, yes — scan the pass at handover. For third-party delivery platforms there is no pass to scan, so the usual approach is a QR code printed on the bag that enrols the customer directly with you, which is worth doing on its own.

Can I run different rewards for lunch and dinner?

You can run more than one card design on the Growth plan and up, so a lunch card and a dinner card can have separate thresholds and rewards.

What happens when a regular changes phone?

They re-add the card from the link in the confirmation, and their stamps come with it — the balance lives with their membership, not with the handset.
